Recently I've been re-inspired by the artwork of Samurai Jack, so I scooted around the internet picking up information about the background paintings.
Scott Wills is probably the most awesome person in the world. Here is why:
I think my reasoning is pretty clear. I'm awash with amazement at his skill; his contrast, his composition, and his color is great.
Here is something else fun I found: video tutorials from him on painting for Samurai Jack!
I am very happy to have found these, because although I am good at some art related things, I suck at others, so these will only benefit me so that I may one day, with luck, overpower Scott Wills.
Here is one more thing I find amusing:

I hope this holds you over until I update with some of my own work again. Sorry for sucking at that! It's only because I'm terrible at taking photos of stuff as I do it. I guess you'll just have to take my word for it. Maybe that'd count for more if I was actually a writer. Oh well!
